This is such a gem! Tucked in the corner of the Safeway shopping center, their food is made fresh and in-house! The staff were so kind explaining the variety of pies and goodies in the cases. They have pre-made sandwiches, but they go fast! They also have loafs of bread and baguettes for sale, too! We had one of their beef & cheese pies, as well as one of their beef & potato pies. They were seasoned so well, were packed full of flavor, and not dry at all. They have a fun, friendly atmosphere with a few chairs inside and outside to eat at (if you're staying), or they'll bag up your items to go! We are happy they're so close so that we can come back again soon!

During a weekend stay in Windsor, I stumbled upon BurtoNZ Bakery and decided to stop in for a quick snack. What a delightful find! I tried their steak and potato meat pie, which was absolutely delicious. The pastry was wonderfully flaky, and the filling was rich and savory. This charming small bakery offers a unique twist on traditional pastries, specializing in savory hand pies and serving a variety of sweets and artisan breads. Whether you're craving a hearty meat pie or a sweet treat, BurtoNZ Bakery is a great spot in Windsor for anyone looking for an authentic bite to eat.

Anytime I can get a meat pie stateside I do! And Burtonz is no exception, they had some great pies. Classic bakery set up with some inside seating, or easy enough to just grab your pies/pastries to go. The sausage roll I got was giant, but delicious--pastery dough was nice and flakey.

My husband is from Christchurch and five years ago ( on my 70th bday) we stumbled across ButtoNZ bakery. We have been devoted customers ever since. Bobbi and Burton are lovely people and their baked goods are fantastic. Their meat pies, sausage rolls, breakfast pies and breads are wonderful and the best are their chocolate and raspberry Lamingtons. Not to be missed. When you go, tell them Steve and Shani from Vallejo sent you.

Good pies at a cute location with enough outdoor seating and a large indoor share table. Tasty but not knock your socks off. Lots of pastry with moderate filling. Lacks a bit of sauce and intense flavors. Great selection though their popular steak and mushroom pie and sausage rolls were out. Very handy and quick.

It's been over a year since I have been back to BurtoNZ bakery. My dear friend treated me to these delectable deliciousness. Location is next to Safeway with ample parking. One large communal table inside and a few tables outside. It's clean, you are greeted with a whiff of tasty morsels of goodness. We went on Saturday, arrived shortly after 11:00am. We came specifically for the New Zealand doughnut. Unfortunately they were already sold out. You can't go wrong with any of their savory pies. We kept it lean and only order 3 items to share: sausage roll, steam and cheese and mushroom pies. No going to lie after I inhaled my halves, I contemplated getting a chicken pie and another sausage roll. Some things aren't meant for sharing. Pop in for a savory and sweet treat. You'll thank me later. Bon appetit!

Love everything about this bakery! The service is always friendly everything always made fresh! I definitely recommend this place! there's so many choices it's so hard to pick!

One of the very best savory pastries shops in the county! Popular and many items sell out quickly because they are delicious!

Feb 2023 Stopped in for a quick lunch grab before a meeting. Menus above and lots of baked goods behind the glass for all your carb forward needs. In retrospect I should've grabbed a loaf of bread too but I wasn't thinking that far ahead. Service was helpful with any questions that I had. I had gotten a mushroom and goat cheese pie, a berry tart, and a scotch egg since I had never had one before. Everything was really good though I liked the pie and the scotch egg best. The pie nice and warm, rich in flavor. Mushroom worked really well with it. The scotch egg was also very good though a bit messy. Thank goodness for the saran wrap which caught all the bits. Unfortunately, they didn't have the vegetable quiche available when I had gone by but I'll certainly stop by again to see.
